Completism

It occurred to us shortly after wrapping up The Passage ride that we never truly "finished." The ride was done but we weren't quite done with it because each of us had missed a number of the routes over the years. We had been sick or injured or out of town. Thus neither of us can really say that we've done "the whole thing." And, you know, it would be nice to be able to say that. So we're riding those routes, the ones that we missed, and invite everybody to join us.

Each month we pick a date (through a somewhat simple, somewhat convoluted set of rules that don’t really matter in themselves and we won’t bother to explain -- it's basically just a way to make it easier for ourselves) and we do a Passage route that one of us missed. We’re doing them in roughly ascending order (taking turns, each leading ones we missed). It is not every Wednesday. It's once a month. And it's not necessarily Wednesdays at all. It moves around. (Therefore, we'll try to be better about announcing in advance than we were with The Passage.)

The old ride had an awkward, long, convoluted name. This thing has an awkward, short, to-the-point name: Completism.

So, yes, it's more rides. But not “Passages.” Passage routes, though, certainly. This is not a “best of” where we’re trying to recapture the magic. This is completism where, like Pokemon, we’re catching them all.

We hope you can catch a few with us!
