Passage #248: 7 May 2014

The Brass Menagerie

Do you love animals, but have terrible allergies that prevent you from so much as breathing in their presence? Do you like to look at animals, but worry that you will get bitten or scratched or gored? Do you wish that they would hold still for a bit so that you could pet them? Or perhaps you wish that they were entirely inanimate? Well then, you're in luck!

This week we will be visiting some number of animal-shaped sculptures. While they are of varying degrees of detail and realism, we can absolutely promise that you that none of them will bite, scratch, gore, shed dander, or move. They thus present none of the hazards of real, living animals, and you may admire them in complete safety!
