Passage #457: 6 June 2018

June Gloom

So it's June, and you know what that means, right? Right...? Well, sure, it means a lot of things, but one of the things it means in Los Angeles is June Gloom. It is our brightest, but also our dullest month, what with that marine layer hanging heavy over half the city. And on top of that, Saturn is high in the sky, nearing its opposition, so astrologically* speaking, this June should be doubly saturnine. And who are we to argue with that? Sometimes you go for the glitz and glamour; sometimes you go for the gloom. Tonight, we do our best to avoid the city's shiny things, and seek out the desolate, the dismal and the dreary. Come on out - it'll be the gloomiest!
