Passage #119: 12 October 2011

A Different Tack

The Santa Ana winds, they are a-blowing. And just as sailboats must adopt a new strategy when the winds change on the ocean, zigging and zagging and coming about in order to make headway, we find ourselves in need of an adjustment -- not necessarily of the zigging-and-zagging variety, mind you (we've got the zigging and the zagging covered already), but rather a more subtle adjustment in course.

We've visited many of these places before, yes, but we've never visited these places in quite the same way before. The approach is everything, you understand.
